Ben Taylor from Stockport 2010 Winner

The 2010 heats of Pride Factor started off slow but thanks to the hard work of Carmen at the Flying Handbag and Manager Dean Bennett, they managed to pull off a superb Final on Sunday 2nd May.

The quality of all the performances was fantastic leaving the judges with a very hard decision who to crown the winner for 2010.

Then it was announced that the winner of Pride Factor 2010 was young Ben Taylor from Stockport in Manchester.

I spoke with Ben recently and he told me that in fact it was his good friend that entered him into the competition. He thought he was too late to enter but the Flying Handbag had decided to use the Wednesday night karaoke sessions to try and find more talent for the event. This of course paid off for Ben.

Ben Taylor is currently at Salford University studying Contemporary Theatre Practice. He has also been a member of his local Theatre company now for Seven years and landed many leading roles with performances such as the lion in "The Wizard of Oz" and the Beast in "Beauty and The Beast". He has been performing from around the age of ten and loves to sing at any chance given. He has won a session at Voxbox studios to record his winning song.

This young lad has a depth of talent and a name to watch out for in the future. Congratulations to Ben and all the contestants that took part in the heats and the Final.
